What is a femme party without an egg fight?! Glitterr Milk, also known as Alana Miller, invited me and the performer known as Mississitti Rivah to perform as our duo 'The Breakfast Bitchez' at their Femme Fatale party. We thought the housewife image would be fun to mess with, so we made a performance in which eggs, in all their domesticity and their mess, became a symbol of resistance. We began by displaying the eggs in a kitchen scene while we were dressed as '50s housewives, and proceeded to smash the eggs on our bodies. We highlighted the visceral quality of yolk in its pure nature. We performed for 200 guests in the backyard of Rubulad (Secret Project Robot’s former home) in Brooklyn, NY.

A year after the performance, I proposed another performance at Rubulad for a Glitterr Milk Party to the space’s owner, Sari Rubinstein. She politely asked me if I could please do ‘something more lovely as less disgusting’ for the next performance, since she was grossed out by the egg smash. I interviewed her about crossing her boundaries.

Thanks to Glitterr Milk, The Future Now, Sari Rubinstein, Mississitti Rivah, Leah Mendelson, Mattie Barber Bockelman, Greg Kronberg, and Harry Einhorn
