The Writer’s Room is a decentralized, community-led writing space in Portland, OR. Compiled by co-organizers Josephine LaCosta, Laura Bartram, and Kai Broach (and supported by a RACC - Regional Arts and Culture Council - grant), this publication serves as both a showcase of local creative writing and a workbook for daily writing practice.
Includes my piece "Now Love" - a text on grief, transformation, and encounters with the threatened monarch butterfly. "Now Love" re-imagines a text originally titled Seeing C. Smiles (performed as part of The Ivory Tower and The Open Worlds, 2022).
