Egg Fight

What is a femme party without an egg fight?! Glitter Milk invited Gilian and collaborator Leah Mendelson, collectively known as 'The Breakfast Bitchez' to perform at their Femme Fatale party. They thought the housewife image would be fun to mess with. They made a performance in which eggs, in all their domesticity and their mess, became a symbol of resistance.

They began by displaying the eggs in a kitchen scene while they were dressed as '50s housewives, and proceeded to smash the eggs on their bodies. They highlighted the visceral quality of yolk in its pure nature.

The performance was for 200 guests in the backyard of Secret Project Robot’s former home in Brooklyn, NY.
